PDO (Thread Lift)

For decades, a facelift was the only option for individuals looking for a long lasting solution to loose, sagging skin and other signs of aging but in recent years skin tightening procedures such as PDO (Polydioxanone) have become much more popular.

Commonly known as a “thread lift,” this minimally invasive procedure from Artsthetik involves small hooks being passed through the surface layers of the skin along extremely fine threads using a needle. The hooks grab hold of the skin surface from underneath before the thread is pulled to gently maneuver the skin into an elevated and youthful but still natural looking position. The threads used in the modern form of this procedure dissolve completely into the skin over time, giving potential bacteria no foreign surfaces on which to hide from the body’s natural defenses.

This treatment is performed under local anesthetic, and is painless during the procedure itself. After a PDO procedure, we recommend that our clients allow 2 or 3 days away from their typical daily routine in order to allow post operative swelling and bruising. When PDO treatment has taken effect, the results can last more than 6 months, or until the threads securing the skin in place are fully dissolved by the body.

Unlike a conventional face lift, PDO does not involve facial incisions or manipulation of your skin’s deep tissues, effectively eliminating the chances of scarring or “bunching.” PDO treatment is an excellent option for individuals looking for the visible results of plastic surgery without the expense, recovery, or risk.

For these reasons, PDO procedures are more popular than ever before, and you can discover the transformative results that this treatment option can offer you by getting in contact with the team at Artsthetik to schedule your initial consultation.
